  • Power up board with a desktop power supply with a voltage of 12 V and a current limitation of 500 mA. The current reading should be between 250 mA and 300 mA for a board that has never been used.
  • Power off board.

HSIO functional test:

  • Power up board at 12 V and 1.5 A current limit.
  • Attach a Xilinx dongle to J32.
  • Run impact.
  • Right click on FPGA icon and select "Add BPI/SPI flash".
  • The file to download is HsioTest_00000003.mcs .
  • Select BPI PROM 28F00AP30.
  • Right click on the prom icon and select program.
  • After programming you can power down the board and quit impact.
  • Install the following test devices on the board:
    • Loopback SFP modules in SFP0 and SFP1.
    • A loopback QSFP module in QSFP0.
    • 2 SMA cables: One between TXP and RXP, one between TXM and RXM.
    • 2 header test boards in P2 and P3.
    • 1 zone-3 test board.
    • The DTM test module.
    • The TTC module that belongs to this particular board.
  • Attach a USB cable to J30 (GP).
  • Power up the board, again at 12 V and 1.5A.
  • To bring up the serial connection:
    • sudo /sbin/modprobe -r ftdi_sio
    • sudo /sbin/modprobe ftdi_sio vendor=0x0403 product=0x6014
    • screen -L /dev/ttyUSB0 115200 . The exact tty is not predictable. You can type /dev/ttyUSB and then hit TAB for autocompletion to see which one it is.
  • Push the COLD-BOOT button on the HSIO and follow the instructions on the screen for testing.
  • Perform both the HSIO and the DTM test.
