Finally, the exactly same query that took 7 minutes to run, in solution (i) – Jena SDB (i) --, took less than 5 seconds using solution (ii) – Open RDF Sesame Native. The circumstances tested were the same in both environments, i.e., same computer, same dataset, and same query.
