Changing voltages

Wiki Markup
In EPICS control gui we can click the button to the right saying "Hybrid x" (x=\[0,9\]) and a new GUI pops up showing more options.

To set the voltage there are three columns to pay attention to:

Input V: used to change the Demand V

Demand V: voltage that will be applied whenever the PS is turned on for this channel.

Measured V: measured voltage

Only the bias voltage can be changed; the low voltages are "hard coded".

Changing the bias voltage

...

This should only be done by expert!

1. Open the hybrid view of the particular hybrid you want to change.

2. Identify the TOP or BOTTOM BIAS row and go to the Input V column.

3. In order to propagate a new value to the PS you need to

3.1 Highlight the number in the Input V box

3.2 Put your desired new voltage and directly hit Enter

Note. Don't touch the mouse after highlighting the numbers, this will remove your input and nothing will be changed.

3.3 You should see your number propagate to the Demand V column (this might take 1min, be patient!).

Using the serial interface

In the case where the operation of the power supplies can not be done through EPICS, each power supply can be accessed directly through a terminal.  After login into clon10 (see above), the command
