Email from Lucas, today & yesterday. Plots in /work/TEMPO/repo/trunk/J1851+0418 Lucas' opinion: huge statistical fluctuation. Dave's wonderment: aurora borealis, dorsal fin of a sailfish, like the variable gamma Cyg PSR J2021+4026. And like for J1717-5800 (see /work/TEMPO/DavesStuff/J1717-5800/README) a small change at some moment makes the modulation come ; go ; change. Right... how on Earth to demonstrate that such a revolution might be true? No DC counterpart, so you can't show spectral signature, and you can't weight, to get away from Ntrials. Etc etc. One hope might be a really solid model prediction, based on the interpulse RVM etc treatment. Okay so this is fun, let's do a couple more: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ PSRJ Gb RAJD DECJD P0 DIST1 EDOT (deg) (deg) (deg) (s) (kpc) (ergs/s) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ J0834-4159 -1.04 128.56792 -41.99750 0.12111 1.66 9.9e+34 python src_association.py P202_uw28_assoc_v6r1p0.fits 128.56792 -41.99750 1 1343 P7R41198P 0.291393715089 261.16 -0.939207 16.2624 0.21 degree semimajor, 0.14 minor J0905-5127 -2.85 136.46634 -51.46353 0.34628 3.29 2.4e+34 python src_association.py P202_uw28_assoc_v6r1p0.fits 136.46634 -51.46353 1 1450 P7R41285AH 0.951454422619 271.663 -1.9023 14.9693 J1913+0832 -0.86 288.25208 8.53475 0.13440 7.87 7.4e+34 python src_association.py P202_uw28_assoc_v6r1p0.fits 288.25208 8.53475 1 3309 PSR J1913+0904 0.647334163874 43.5584 -0.569649 104.589 Okay so of these four only 3FGL J1851.2+0423 / PSR J1851+0418 remains interesting.
