Windows

MySQL passwords are stored in the registry.  Some time ago, Navid thought he had updated the registry for all the windows boxes under User.  Two machines didn't have those registry values set, not sure if they were missed originally, or if they were over-written.  Richard suggested that perhaps they were cleared after the monthly patches, but Navid believes the registry values would be saved and reloaded.

Problem with remote connection into glast-06 is due to too many idle connections.  The admins, closed down the existing connections and now Navid should be able to log in again.

The Macs seem to have a problem with passing tokens for LSF.  Neal had mentioned the posibility of a problem, but this is the first time Navid has seen it himself.  Things had been working for over a month, but starting on Tuesday at 9 AM jobs were not getting LSF tokens.  Navid has contacted Neal who will contact Andy to see if there have been any changes made.  There were troubles with the LSF tokens previously - but that had been fixed.

Toby has tagged Navid's updates to astro.  We won't be sure that it fixed everything, until we can build on the Macs again.
Richard was looking for a status report on the various platforms:
rhel3 and rhel4 32 and 64 bit work
rhel5 won't work until we handle the issue with f2c. Packages like optimizers are looking for f2c which is not available.

Macs are almost ready  -- need working LSF and then hoping developers will keep the code working on the mac.  Recently, Navid has provided bug fixes, only to find that the next tag of packages like Likelihood introduce new bugs on the Mac.  Jim has made some updates to Likelihood, Navid is hoping that will take care of the most recent problems.  We are starting to look into builds on Leopard.  Note that mac01 is tiger, and mac02 is now a leopard machine.  Navid notes that tiger and leopard use the same gcc4.  In fact we could use tiger binaries on leopard.  However, the tiger machine will be removed from service, and we need to make sure that we can build everything on leopard.

Windows - once past the issue with the registry, the SciTool builds should proceed just fine.
