SciDB Workshop Logistics March 30 - April 1
The workshop will be held at Asilomar (http://www.visitasilomar.com/). The conference with start with dinner at 6 P.M. on Sunday March 30 followed by a reception. The conference will run until 3 PM. on Tuesday April 1. Please try to arrive in time for dinner on Sunday.
The registration fee is $650. This includes lodging, all meals, all breaks, and all receptions after dinner. Since the "normal" food at Asilomar is not very good we will be having premium meals and will dine in a separate room.
Registration form was emailed to the participants. Please fill out this form and fax it to Asilomar directly. Please, please do this promptly. If you are not coming to the workshop please let the organizers know immediately so that we do not end up having to pay for your room.
Meals
If you are vegetarian or vegan please let us know so that we can give Asilomar a head count. The detailed menu can be found below.
Internet Access
We have ordered wireless Internet access for our meeting room. There is also an open wireless network in the lobby of the conference registration hall.
Getting to Asilomar
The closest airport is in Monterrey. From there you can take a cab to Asilomar. Once you are at Asilomar you will not need a car. Alternatively, you can fly to San Jose or San Francisco and drive to Asilomar.
Other Arrangements
If you are coming with family members please let us know immediately so that we can work out the housing and meal arrangements and figure out the appropriate charge.
Detailed Menus
Sunday night: Salmon or Vegetarian Wellington
Monday noon: Tortilla Salad with Chicken or Spinach Salad (vegetarian)
Monday dinner: Pork Tenderloin or Polenta Stack (vegetarian)
Tuesday lunch: choice of sandwiches (Seared Tuna, Smoked Turkey, or Mediterranean
