  • June 16, 2008: We have started to plan the 2nd XLDB Workshop.
  • Apr 07, 2008: The Final report from SciDB meeting has been released.
  • Jan 24, 2008: Science - DB Research Meeting page has been created - we have started to plan the meeting between science and database research.
  • Jan 15, 2008: Common Requirements page has been created. It contains a draft list of possible requirements. We expect it to evolve as we collect feedback from those involved in data-intensive scientific projects.
  • Dec 21, 2007: The final report has been released xldb07_report.pdf
  • Dec 19, 2007: A updated draft with comments from participants is available in the Members Only area. Review deadline: Dec 20 (end of business day)

  • Oct 31, 2007: A mailing list has been set up for anyone interested in extremely large databases. Participants in the first XLDB workshop have already been subscribed. For others, describe your interest in the subject in an E-mail to xldb-l-owner@slac.stanford.edu.
  • Oct 31, 2007: Slides from the two presentations at the workshop describing extremely large scientific databases have been posted on the workshop agenda page.
